- Saw this great toy in vail – frigits!
- I’m in the mountains now, silverthorne to be exact. we’re at a friends condo (they’re not here), and i managed to hijack myself on someone else internet connection (broadband). i understand why this isnt ideal, but if i’m just checking email and not sucking megabandwidth, what’s the harm? they probably dont even notice.. <g>
- I was off on Friday and really tried to not do too much work.. there were a few email threads i needed to attend to. i did manage to sleep late and run some errands, as well as run 3.6 miles, so i feel like it was a quality day. the night before i went to the mets vs. rockies game at coors field with a bunch of ex-new york mets fans: gary, allister, paul, eisenberg, and ken nielsen (not from ny, but a big fan!)
- I will tell you, vail is really nice. We did a bunch today, starting with the gondola ride to the top, which is amazing. we did a hike at the top, people were mountain biking down, others were playing frisbee golf at the top. we had a small snack on a picnic bench at the top of the mountain. the gondola goes 1200 feet per minute and it warm and comfy for the ~15 minute ride to the top.
- When we got down from all that, we took the free shuttle to vail village, where we walked around, let the kids pay with in the creek, saw tons of really cute dogs, and just enjoyed a stunningly beautiful summer > autumn afternoon.
- I am taking a bunch of pictures and will post them when we get back to Denver.
- Also, let me fill you in on some recent pictures I’ve taken on business trips.. I was just in SF for a few days and took some fun pictures. This one is my favorite:
- I also took some from a recent company picnic, including golf, richard yoon, and a plastic pig taking a poop
